If you are unfamiliar with scones, they are kind of like a large biscuit with a sweet taste. These homemade scones will melt in your mouth and put a smile on your face.
3 cups all purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup cold butter
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoon milk
Sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the egg, yogurt and vanilla just until all is combined. Turn dough onto a floured surface. Knead dough 6-8 times.
Roll dough into a 9-inch circle; cut into eight wedges. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Brush the tops of wedges with milk. Sprinkle.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown. Serve warm.
